A puzzle, brownie, coffee paradise at Wattley Hill near Seal Rocks and Bluey's Beach

THE LIVING AREA

At Wattley Hill the living area is one cavernous room, supported and centred around a single enormous tree trunk. A timber and stainless steel chef's kitchen is at the heart of the room, with a long bench for chatting and snacking while you cook, as well as a separate dining area, lounge and relaxing space (which on many occasions doubles as a dance floor).

For winter guests, the timber stove pumps out more heat than you'll ever need. There's a fully stocked wood locker on the verandah, and all the equipment you need to get the fire raging. Winter nights get cold here, but this fireplace (and heaters in the bedrooms) means you won't feel it unless you head outside.

For all the seasons, the house is well stocked with a whole range
of board games, puzzles and DVDs. There are ample TVs and a bluetooth sound system to keep you entertained day and night.

And during the quieter moments, sit on the lounge, enjoy the afternoon breeze, and keep your eyes out for the wildlife that wanders by - kangaroos and wallabies, more than 40 species of birds, the odd lace monitor, Larry the Water Dragon and the even less regular cows.
